New Trustees for Sheffield Hospitals Charity

Sheffield Hospitals Charity has welcomed four new trustees. The new appointments are Cathy Sinclair, Co-Director of Student Recruitment and Admissions at Sheffield Hallam University, James Drury, Director of Strategy at Sheffield Health and Social Care NHS FT, Sarah Molton, Innovation Manager – Social Sciences at Sheffield Hallam University and Tom Elliot, Chief Executive Officer of Medilink North England.

The new members join at a pivotal time and bring a wealth of experience across diverse fields which will help shape the charity’s future and ensure funds are given where they will have the most impact across Sheffield’s NHS.

Beth Crackles, Chief Executive Officer at Sheffield Hospitals Charity, said:

“We are delighted to welcome Cathy, James, Sarah and Tom to the board. Each of them brings their own unique skill set and experience and these appointments are an important step forward as we continue to shape the strategic focus of the charity.

Through everything we do, we are thinking about the future - laying the foundations for income growth and therefore being able to provide more funding to support Sheffield's NHS. Our newly appointed trustees will enable us to deliver on our mission to help Sheffield’s hospitals, community teams and health and social care services to cover the costs the NHS can’t. By funding support for patients and staff, life-changing research and more, we enhance care from birth to the end of life and everything in between.”

Beth also thanked outgoing trustee Helen Brown, a previous Nurse Director at Sheffield Teaching Hospitals, for her outstanding service and support over her tenure.
